Introduction to the Human Series

The purpose of this art series will restore the collective space among the living and the dead, one that has until recently, been historically present. Each box contains a real human bone(s), and scenes painted to represent a significant part of a person’s life or death. All boxes have this person’s name, a date of birth and death, as well as a short biography. It is hoped that these magical stories will juxtapose the realness of the bones, to create a unique viewing experience.
I have aspired to create boxes sufficiently worthy and reverential to hold the remains of another human being. It is my sincerest hope that those who bones they hold, approve of their new life and history.
